Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 31 October 2026
Welcome to PS2 BIOS. By using yourdomain.com (the "site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. We've kept the wording as plain as we can, but these are still terms you're agreeing to, so it's worth reading them through.
What this site is
PS2 BIOS publishes guides and information about PlayStation 2 emulation, including emulator setup, BIOS dumping and troubleshooting. Everything here is general information. It isn't professional, technical or legal advice, and it isn't tailored to your situation.
Files, copyright and your responsibility
We don't host, distribute or link to BIOS files, game ISOs, ROMs or other copyrighted material, and nothing on this site is an invitation to obtain them illegally. The PS2 BIOS is copyrighted by Sony. Our guides describe dumping a BIOS from a console that you own, and that's the only method we cover.
Copyright and emulation law differs from country to country. You're responsible for making sure that what you do with emulators, BIOS files and game images is lawful where you live. Please only use software and game files that you have the right to use.
Use at your own risk
Some of the steps we describe involve changing settings, installing software, or running homebrew on hardware you own. Dumping a BIOS, for example, means modifying a console so it can run a dumper. We try to describe these steps accurately, but you follow them at your own risk. We can't guarantee they'll work on your hardware, and we're not responsible if something goes wrong, whether that's lost saves, a console that stops working, or a device that needs reinstalling.
Back up anything you can't afford to lose before you try something new.
Accuracy of the information
We do our best to keep guides correct and current, and we link to official sources where we can. Software changes quickly though, and mistakes happen. The content is provided "as is", without any promise that it's complete, up to date or fit for a particular purpose. If you spot an error, please tell us through the contact page.
Acceptable use
When you use the site, you agree not to:
Use it for anything unlawful
Post comments that are abusive, defamatory, spammy or that infringe someone else's rights
Try to break into the site, overload it, or interfere with how it works
Scrape the site in bulk or copy it wholesale without our permission
We may remove comments and block access for anyone who breaks these rules.
Our content
The articles, images, layouts and other material that we created for PS2 BIOS belong to us. You're welcome to read them, share links to them, and quote short excerpts with a clear link back to the original page. Please don't republish whole guides on other sites, or pass them off as your own, without asking us first.
If you send us a comment, a correction or a suggestion, you keep ownership of it, but you give us permission to use it on the site and to edit it for clarity.
Trademarks
PlayStation, PS2 and other names mentioned on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to describe the products our guides cover. We aren't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the PCSX2 project or any other emulator developer.

The site contains links to websites that we don't own or control. We aren't responsible for their content or practices, and a link isn't an endorsement. If you follow one, you do so under that site's own terms.
Limits of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PS2 BIOS and the people who run it aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. That includes indirect or consequential losses, and it includes damage to your devices or data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

We can suspend or end your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, if we think you've broken these terms.
